There are no components to mount on the terminals other than the large jumper wire. The BIC-95300B is the right choice for a Backup battery setup. As with all previous BIC's, this unit can be wired in parallel to increase the total current carrying capacity. But, normally for a gas engine, only one BIC-95300B is necessary. For the rare application where one desires to use a Backup battery setup on a standard Pickup Diesel engine, where it normally requires two batteries for starting, then you would need two BIC's and two Backup batteries for that setup. But, more typically, say a one ton Diesel pickup that uses a slide-in camper, the primary objective is typically to charge the camper batteries and keep them isolated from the vehicle start batteries. Well, in that case, you would likely choose the Auxiliary battery setup with the other model, the BIC-95150B.
